LPG Storage and Distribution

FIFC intends to construct a modern Liquid Petrolium Gas (LPG) storage and distribution plant to distribute bulk LPG to hotels, hospitals, cylinder re-fillers, and manufacturing industries. Two independant distribution facilities will handle the distribution of the LPG, gasoline and gas oil.

LPG STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION

The LPG storage plant will be composed of two 5200 m3 Spheres and twenty 340m3 LPG bullets with a total capacity of 17 200 m3. The Liquid Petrolem Gas is intended primarilly for the Ghanaian local market.Independent Power Producers (IPP), whose thermal

generators uses LPG, can also situate in Apam near the facility to utilize the gas. Companies Like General Electric (GE) have indicated plans to build LPG fired thermal plants in various parts of the country subject to fuel availability and Apam would offer a natural choice.

 

GASOLINE AND GASOIL DISTRIBUTION

This distribution facility will consist of two loading bays and it is envisaged that there will the capacity to handle 16 trucks per bay per day for export.

 

TRUCK STOP FACILITY

The facility will include a safe and convenient overnight or one-stop facility for drivers and their transporters. Services will include secure parking, refuelling, overnight accommodation, a convenience store and diner restaurant.
